Set in the ominous atmosphere of the industrial city of Avoste, we follow the story of Kyrdon, a young mage mandated by the Magister to pursue illegal magic, who must investigate the murder of one of his colleagues. Amidst the political instability provoked by the demands of the anti-magic group The Mongoose, clues tend to point towards an escalation of violence against mages.

 

Helped by his sister Amber, who is working as an analyst in the bureau of information, Kyrdon will have the colossal task to act carefully in his attempts to unfold one of the biggest crises the city has known.
