LES FLEURS DU MAL

Comedy    2015-2020

Co-created with Guillaume Duchesne

Melinda Philips is out for revenge.

In the small but privileged city of Blue County, where politics revolve mainly around the schedule of waste collection, leader of the opposition Daisy Philips struggles to present herself as a viable alternative to the incumbent mayor. As her husband Bruce sets his goals on finding a better acting gig than mere commercials, Daisy finds herself being more and more tempted by extramarital comfort. And as if all of this wasn’t enough to ruin her life, her spiteful sister Melinda resurfaces with the nefarious agenda of destroying everything she has worked to build in the last decade.

In the meantime, the renowned editor of the Feuille de Chou Douglas Pickford battles for the survival of his dear newspaper, whose existence is threatened by the rise of web media.

Les Fleurs du Mal is an epic tale of treason and love - but more treason than love, let us be frank.

Now on to some reviews...

“It’s watchable, but nothing worthy of my interest would only be available on the Internet."

– Douglas Pickford, editor in chief of the Feuille de Chou.

“I binged-watched it with a healthy dose of Meyer lemon tea

– John Thompson, food critic and television personality.

I will make no comment on this series until the mayor has spoken up on the issue.

– Daisy Philips, leader of the Blue County Party.

Not bad, but it could benefit some 3D. And more Mel Gibson.

– Melinda Philips, entrepreneur and philanthropist (occasionally)
